Antarctica has logged its hottest temperature on record, with an Argentinian research station thermometer reading 65 degrees Fahrenheit (18.3 Celsius), beating the previous record high from five years ago. Antarctica’s peninsula is one of the fastest warming places on earth, heating by almost 3 degrees Celsius over the last 50 years.
