‘Balancing with a Doughnut’: Feasta position paper on the revision of the European Commission’s Energy Taxation Directive

This paper uses Kate Raworth’s Doughnut Economics model as a basis for a suite of reforms that include limiting fossil fuel production and imports at source, placing a limit on carbon tax along with a quota system, introducing per-capita allocations of revenue from a carbon fee, and forming a partnership with a group of Global South countries to promote climate justice.
