British broadcaster David Attenborough on Wednesday launched a campaign with conservation groups that aims to invest $500 billion a year to halt the global destruction of nature, saying the future of the planet was in “grave jeopardy.” Attenborough, who’s promoting his new film “A Life on Our Planet,” made the announcement at a United Nations conservation summit.
