EPA Now Requires Political Aide’s Sign-Off for Agency Awards, Grant Applications

A Republican operative working in the EPA’s public affairs office is now in charge of vetting hundreds of millions of dollars in EPA grants. According to the Washington Post, John Konkus told staff he is on the lookout for “the double C-word,” climate change, and has asked employees to eliminate the phrase in their grant applications.
