EPA Seeks Delay Over Rule Curbing Coal Plants’ Toxic Pollution

The Environmental Protection Agency recently asked a federal court to delay a hearing initially set for mid-May in a challenge involving a 2012 regulation restricting the amount of toxic substances emitted from power plants, the Washington Post reports. While the power sector has largely already complied with the rule, a coalition of companies and 15 states are seeking to overturn it.
