Thirteen Republicans senators have asked President Trump to submit the Kigali Amendment on HFCs for Senate ratification. The amendment to the Montreal Protocol is meant to phase out hydrofluorocarbons, a short-lived climate pollutant used mainly in refrigeration and air conditioning. The senators say it would help U.S. companies.
