President Trump’s Justice Department was in court Thursday defending its dismantling of his predecessor’s climate policy. Under Trump’s Affordable Clean Energy rule, greenhouse gas emissions from the power sector are expected to fall by less than 1 percent, as opposed to Obama’s Clean Power Plan, which would have cut emissions by a third.
