As we approach our 70th anniversary An Taisce is going through a process of renewal. Declining incomes, an ageing membership and the need to refresh our Board and Council has brought into focus the need to be clear about our vision for the organisation so that the plan we adopt for renewal is fit for purpose.
On Saturday 10th June there will be a session in Tailors’ Hall (10.30 – 4.00) where a group of invited staff, Board and Council, members and others will look at what we want An Taisce to be.
The day will be facilitated by a new member of our Board of Directors, who has considerable experience in marketing and strategic planning in the business sector.
It maybe that the vision in Lloyd Praeger’s original broadcast in 1948 still holds good but our hope is to start with a blank sheet and finish with an agreed vision and a series of statements that highlight what An Taisce will offer to different stakeholders.
Is there any chance that you could participate in this exercise? We would value your input.
The numbers will be kept small and manageable, so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as you can if you are able to join in.
If you would like to come but cannot make that date there are a few places left in the afternoon of Monday 29th May so let us know if that suits you better.
