The world is struggling to slow the effects of climate change, according to a new report from the World Meteorological Organization. The annual report outlines new projections for rising temperatures over the next five years, stating that global average temperatures will likely rise at least 1 degree Celsius above pre-industrial levels each year from 2020 to 2024, with a chance levels could exceed 1.5 degrees.
