A free return bus will leave Gamble’s Square Ramelton at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning. October 13th. It will take in two nature walks in Kinnegar Beach and Aughnish. The trip will last about 3 hours. Aengus Kennedy will lead the walks. The background to the walks is the flocks of migrant birds that arrive to Lough Swilly around this time each year.

These two stops will illustrate two different aspects of the fjord that is Lough Swilly. One aspect is the sometimes rocky shoreline along the Lough and the other aspect are the vast mudflats along the shore. Each aspect has its different plants and feeding for the migrant birds.

This is organised by the Donegal Association of An Taisce. It is part of a series of walks and talks that are supported by a grant from Donegal County Council under its Wildlife Awareness Initiative.
Everyone is welcome, admission is free, no need to book. Suitable for all age groups. No dogs except guide dogs please.
